Freeze Frame Gallery was founded by the CEO and owner, Jens-Otto Paludan.

Originally, Jens-Otto’s creative background was in the music industry, where he for 13 years headed Universal Music in Denmark as CEO – and released music with artists such as Eminem,U2, Rihanna, Elton John, Kanye West Metalica and many other big names. In addition to this, he ran a very successful department of local repertoire, where he developed Danish artists such as Aqua, Safri Duo and Junior/Senior and brought them to great international success.

With a great love and interest in the arts, including visual arts, paintings, photo art and film art, he founded the art gallery Freeze Frame Gallery in 2020 – in connection with the idea and subsequent conclusion of an agreement with the filmmaker Lars von Trier and his production company Zentropa Entertainments to develop the art project ARTvonTRIER.

A transformation into single-frame extracts – photographic works of art – from Lars von Triers extensive and award.winning filmography carefully curated and offered to art collectors as fine art prints in very small editions and personally signed by von Trier himself.

The live motion images are frozen, the scenes are isolated, it seems that every single picture now tells it’s own story.

Freeze Frame Gallery has entered into an exclusive agreement with the internationally recognized French art gallery Perrotin – with branches in Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai. Perrotin is responsible for the launch of ARTvonTRIER and the sale of artworks worldwide.

The idea of freezing the moment in a specific frame from moving picture material, is the core idea of Freeze Frame Gallery – and several exciting projects are under development.
